Deep Tissue Massage

“Stretching is great and effective, but no matter how hard you pull on a rope with knots in it, you just end up with a long rope with knots in it lol”

Time for a massage!

“The Massage therapist frees up the Highway so the cars can get to their destination…Those cars are you trying to get to work, the ambulance trying to bring help to a body part in need, the cops investigating the scene of the crime, and you trying to get to work fast and efficiently, so you can LIVE. Unfortunately there is no Waze to redirect the cars from the sight of the jam, eventually the jam gets bigger and bigger until the bridge falls down.”

Massage Styles

Deep Tissue Massage

This deep pressured massage consists of targeting & scanning the musculature for areas of increased tension, adhesions, knots etc. and freeing the body of all obstructions.

I developed my signature deep tissue massage style through over a decade of work as a massage therapist & weight loss trainer. Seeing the various ways a human body can be transformed in size, shape & density was amazing to me. So I took this knowledge whilst assessing the state of the soft tissue, and fused it with various forms of Bodywork, which has enabled me to create a style that is all my own🤩.

Sports Massage

Deep tissue techniques coupled with passive stretching are infused into this session to target the active individuals areas of most concern.

Whether you be a runner, tennis players, cross fitters etc. I got ya!

Prenatal Massage

Side Lying and supine (laying face up) postures are utilized in this massage, coupled with light to medium pressure strokes to calm both baby & Mom to be. (Note Deep pressure is contraindicated for expectant mothers).

I have been doing a lot of prenatal massages lately and it brings me joy to honor the moms of the world from head to toe. Moms should be pampered and put at ease whenever possible.

Sinus/Migraine Massage

Muscles of the head, neck, face & upper torso are targeted to relieve the pressure, pounding, & light sensitivity etc. associated with migraines.

After a long tenure as a boxer, trust me I know a few things about a migraine 🙈. However I actually started developing this technique when I would apply pressure to various points on my lady’s temples, facial muscles etc. while we were laying next to each other watching TV. She would sometimes get sinus headaches so I would reach over and massage her. Fortunately and unfortunately I would always end up watching the rest of the show alone because she would no fail, end up falling asleep in my hands😊.

Lymphatic Flush

This massage centers around the manipulation of the lymphatic system in order to speed up recovery, boost immunity and or reduce swelling/edema in the body.

This is a light to very light pressures massage that targets Lymphatic drainage sights. Fyi this is not the Vodder method, while the Vidder method has been very successful, I feel that the Vodder method needs updating (from the 1930’s protocol) to better display the improvements in science & technique utilized by current massage therapists🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿

Lymphatic Facial
(Coming soon)

Brighten the skin with lymph drainage. Stay tuned I’m in the R&D phase🤗

Hip Release Massage

This massage centers around the muscles associated with the proper stabilization of the hip. Deep tissue & stretching techniques will be utilized to get that hip working properly. (Hip flexors, Glutes, Tensor Fascia Latae etc.)

There is a reason a lot of yoga classes have hip opening sequences. Many don’t realize how important the hips are in normal day to day function. If you are standing your hips are at work, if you are sitting your hips are at work. Pull a glute muscle then tell me how your day was (OUCH). All of the muscles of the hip need to be working in proper synergy otherwise, excuse my French, sh*ts gonna go haywire🙈. Word to the wise, don’t ignore the hips.

Injury Rehab/Joint Repair Massage

This massage targets an injured area or joint. We’ll do whatever we need to do to get you back in tip top shape.

I speed recovery and alleviate the symptoms of repair. One of my teachers told me that in every good chiropractors or physical therapists office, there is a massage therapist in the corner who is quietly doing all of the work, with little fanfare🤷🏿. That same teacher told me that massage therapy is the red headed step hold that is 15 years behind other health practitioners in respect received from the public, and according to the ancient scrolls over 5000 years ahead of all other forms of medicine.

As massage therapists, on various occasions we laugh and share stories about the people we have fixed that others couldn’t, the health professionals offices we have been phased out of because we were “curing their patients too fast” which was a business liability, “they still have sessions left that we can charge their insurance for”……no worries though the true massage therapist is a giving person and receives his due when his mission is completed.

Relaxation Massage

This medium to light pressured service utilizes smooth flowing massage techniques to calm the mind & body into relaxed submission. Get this massage if you are having trouble sleeping, staying focused, clearing your mind, or suffering from symptoms of A.D.D

IBS Massage

This abdominal massage will help to increase the function of the muscles affected by any ailment associated with the abdominal region.

The stomach is a very sensitive area that contains musculature even within the intestines (smooth muscle). Blockages can occur limiting blood flow to the region, hereby restriction proper, function/digestion.

Shak Therapy Massage ($375)

This signature massage/boxing combo therapy focuses on digging deep to dislodge deep rooted emotional disturbances via boxing & kickboxing movements. Then via massage, accessing the deepest layers of skeletal muscle, the endomysium, in order to release traumatic experiences/events buried within.

This massage is for someone that is in pursuit of healing, and release. Sensitive areas will be addressed in depth over this series.

How often should I get a massage?

How often should you get a massage depends on how you view it. Is it healthcare, is it a special treat, is it preventative medicine, is it in order to better function in a stress filled world.

The answer to that question determines how early you add it into the list of items in your budget. Some people add it last, some people add it first.

I see clients multiple times a week, once a month, or once every 3-6 months. Everybody I see once every 3-6 months says without fail, “I don’t know why I waited this long to come back.”
